The eclectic choice of artworks, artifacts and site-specific installations reflects the intriguing and often eccentric collections amassed by affluent travellers during the Victorian period. A mix of “excavated” discoveries from the foundations of the venue combined with modern day curiosities have been curated within display cabinets and bell jars to emphasise a museum aesthetic.

An aviary, a selection of luscious plants and the surrounding environment located near the main entrance introduce visitors and members of the club to the narrative of discovery and captivate their inner curiosity to further explore the space.

STUDIOLAV expand further on Central Working’s vision to create contemporary work environments that offer their members a high-end experience inspired by the aesthetics in the hospitality industry without sacrificing on the functionality required in the workspace. Through every new Central Working Club, STUDIOLAV celebrate, promote and explore the local culture of each different geographic location and re-interpret it through a sophisticated and current perspective. Their aim is to create a strong narrative that makes each space unique but at the same time maintains a common identity between all clubs.

Miniature sculptures from found objects and old Victorian pipes, encased in minimal display plinths reinforce a museum aesthetic narrative. Site-specific installation with period doorknobs from the Victorian era. An everyday object, taken away from its historical context, becomes the bearer of a new story. These installations can be found in the mid-floor landings to levels one and two in the main stairwell.
