Traditionally in Greece during Easter and the night of Holy Saturday, Ressurection evening, people go to the church with their own Easter candles, votive candles, to receive the holy fire from the priest.
Usually, these candles are getting discarded with the passing of the religious holiday. STUDIOLAV with Kostantia Manthou responded to this ritual by creating this colourful series of FOS candles in an attempt to prolong their use and tackle creatively their ephemerality.
